Applying for the Associate Degree for Transfer

Associate Degree for TransferStep 1: Apply to the CSU during the appropriate application filing period. Visit https://www2.calstate.edu/apply for deadlines and additional details.

Step 2: In the CSU application, you must indicate whether you are earning an ADT (AA-T or AS-T) as you create your account (in the Degree Goal section). If you are having trouble with the CSU application, please contact the Transfer Center for help.

Step 3: Complete the SRJC degree application for the ADT. Click here for instructions.

Do Not Delay in Meeting the Following Deadlines:

  • CSU applicants for fall terms: If you plan to earn the ADT by the end of the spring semester, you must apply for the degree by March 1 in order to meet CSU’s verification deadline and to receive admission benefits that accompany this degree.

  • CSU applicants for spring/winter terms: If you plan to earn the ADT by the end of the fall semester, you must apply for the degree by September 1 in order to meet CSU’s verification deadline and to receive admission benefits that accompany this degree.

Verification of ADT for CSU Transfer Applicants:

  • For students who apply for the ADT by the appropriate deadline, and correctly identify their intention to receive the ADT degree on the CSU Admissions Application, Santa Rosa Junior College will electronically verify their ADT status with the CSU Chancellor’s Office system once applications have been reviewed. This official verification acknowledges that a student is on-track, is expected to receive the Associate Degree for Transfer and has submitted the degree application. It is the students’ responsibility to notify the CSU system of any changes that result in a failure to complete the degree.

  • Late Verification of ADT Requests: ADT Degree Applications received after the filing deadline will still be processed to award the degree BUT the CSU Verification will be mailed to the student. It is the student’s responsibility to submit the verification letter to all CSU’s they applied to for transfer.
