Associate Degree for Transfer

An Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT) is a special two-year degree from a California Community College that guarantees admission with junior standing to the California State University (CSU) system.  The California State University (CSU) Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT / AA-T / AS-T) timeline depends on whether you are transferring for a Fall or Spring term.  This is automatically done for ADT applicants who apply by the priority filing deadline.

Submit your California State University (CSU) Application

For more information about preparing to transfer, please visit the SRJC Transfer Center

  • Apply to the CSU during the appropriate application filing period. Visit Cal State Apply Resources for current application deadlines and additional information.
  • You must create a Cal State Apply account in order to submit the CSU application for an Associate Degree Transfer.  You need to determine if you are earning an Associate of Arts – Transfer (AA-T) or Associate in Science – Transfer (AS-T). If you need assistance with the CSU application, please contact the SRJC Transfer Center for help.

Do Not Delay in Meeting Scheduled Deadlines

  • Fall ADT applicants: Your degree information is loaded into the CSU Chancellor’s Office ADT electronic verification system in December and your community college will verify your degree between January and mid-March.
  • Spring ADT applicants: Your degree information is loaded into the CSU Chancellor’s Office ADT electronic verification system in September and your community college will verify your degree between mid-September and October.

Verification of ADT Degree for CSU Transfer Applicants

  • Verification of ADT Degree: For students who apply for the ADT by the appropriate deadline, and correctly identify their intention to receive the ADT degree on their Cal State Application, Santa Rosa Junior College will electronically verify their ADT degree status once the degree application has been reviewed. This official verification acknowledges the student is expected to receive the Associate Degree for Transfer.  It is the students’ responsibility to notify the CSU system of any changes that result in a failure to complete the transfer degree requirements.
  • Late Verification of ADT: ADT degree applications received after the verification deadline the degree application will still be reviewed for completion of requirements.  The student may request a CSU verification letter from the Admissions and Records Evaluations Office, if needed.  It is the student’s responsibility to submit the verification letter to all CSU’s they applied to for transfer.
